That spring collection I edited out, just rediscovered and now feel guilty about.

OKAY OKAY!  I HAD A FREAKOUT. These images are from what was supposed to be my SS2011 collection, photographed back in October 2010.   I just found these photos on an old flash drive.  A few, but not all of the original (or best) from the SS2011 photoshoot. Maybe it was because I made it too far ahead, or maybe it was because I finished the entire collection in under two weeks and photographed everything the same day as my FW2010 collection  ( long story short: I had an offer from a big buyer), whatever it was...I must have been loopy.

  1. wow! you edited these out? i think you should bring them back! in fact, i bet all of the clothing you have edited out in the past could become a new collection. really pretty! you shouldn't second guess yourself. you should be proud. these are fantastic! xo

    1. Thank you for confirming I am a nutter, haha!
It's amazing how stepping back (or looking back) can totally change my perspective...for the better :)

When I edit stuff out I literally trash/burn everything relating to the design. If I wanted to bring a design back from the graveyard it would require starting from scratch again. I sure know how to shoot myself in the foot....hmmmm

  2. well, we all do that sometimes! it really helps to get someone else's opinion before trashing something, though. i've trashed stuff before only to find out later that i actually like what i made. in fact, today i found this floral tank top i made last year. i thought it made me look ill, but i tried it on again and what do you know? i love it! so maybe sometimes you have to put away whatever you are working on for a time and then come back and review. :) it's crazy what stress will do to you! i know!

  3. Gosh! These are so beautiful, just like all of the work that you have done. I have three of your dresses and I cherish each of them. They are the staples of my closet and I would be at a loss for what to wear so often without them.
